Day 6

See the route in google earth here.

Today decided to go down back to civilization.

Another mantion size hut that we slept in.

The road back to civlization (came down from the peak seen in the background).

Catching a bus.

Catching a train (to get back to our car).

On the road to Verona.

When we arrived at hotel "Verona" with our hiking gear, the reception kindly said that they are fully booked (I don't blame them). We asked the Turkish guys from a doner shop for an alternative hotel in the center. Turned out that there was a hotel just accross the steet (picture below).

Juliets house.

People gathering for "Aida" at the Arena. (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aida?wasRedirected=true)

The show was massive, with what seemed to be 100 people on stage.

Day 4

Day profile:

The lady of the house gave ua good breakfast and tips on how to get to the next hut.

A last photo of the alm and we were on our way.

What we did not want to think about yestarday was that since we did not go to Bivak, we added an extra 2 hours to todays already difficult hike. In addition the radio reported that it is the hottest day of this year. Our assumption was that it will take us around 10 hours to complete the hike.

At tip of the mountain we squeezed ourselves through the above hole in order to come down on the other side.

On the other side the descent was straight down for 30 meters or so.

The entire hike took us 11 intensive hours, the hut where we arrived was the Michal Jacksons villa of huts, however still no shower. Since all water here comes from melting glacers, temperature is close to 0.
